Picture taking...

For this week's assignment we had to take pictures that capture some sort of emotion. I love taking pictures and I think working with digital cameras and editing photos will be my favorite part of this course. I thought the assignment was a little difficult due to the fact there was not really any event to take pictures for. I tried to capture the feeling of the first weekend of fall. I took a picture of the beach that is usually swarmed with people in the summer, but it is empty now that the weather is a little colder. I also went to the football game and tried to get some action shots of the game. I got a picture of the mascots and young cheerleader girls that came to cheer with the UNH cheerleaders. Then I tried getting a glimpse of the campus during the fall. The Dairy Bar just brought pumpkin ice cream to the store so I got a picture of an employee scooping that and other random kids on campus (trying to get the color of the leaves). I think I could have done a little better and I wish I had a good photo editing program on my computer, but it has defintly made me appreciate the work of photojournalists.
